Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reading performance of storage information from a questioner being the reading object of each of a plurality of questioners placed in order. SOLUTION: This information reading system 1 is configured by placing in order a plurality of questioners 20 which are respectively provided with a transmission antenna 21 for transmitting a request electric wave for transmitting storage information being information stored in a responder 10, a reception antenna 22 for receiving a response electric wave to be transmitted from the responder 10 which has received the request electric wave, a modulating part 26 for generating the modulation signal of the request electric wave to be transmitted from the transmission antenna 21 and a demodulating part 27 for demodulating the response electric wave to be received from the reception antenna 22. The faces of polarization of the request electric waves to be transmitted from the transmission antenna 21 of each of the adjacently arranged questioners 20 are made different.
