Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline earth metal-containing aluminosilicate glass having various characteristics required for a material used for a lamp bulb having a molybdenum part and a bulb temperature higher than 650°C. SOLUTION: The aluminosilicate glass has the following formulation represented by mass% based on oxides: >58-62% SiO2, 15-17.5% Al2O3, 0.1-<1% MgO, 5.5-14% CaO, 0-8% SrO, 6-17% BaO, 0-1% ZrO2, 0-0.3% CeO2, 0-5% TiO2, 0-2% MoO3and 0-4% Bi2O3, wherein ΣRO (alkaline earth metal oxide) is 11.6-29%.
