PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new handle insert molding method of a bottle side part constituted so as to more certainly insert a handle by using a recessed place forming mold, which is freely taken in and out of a cavity together with a handle insert means, capable of molding a recessed place not having non-uniform wall thickness becoming a defective product and capable of strongly attaching the handle to the molded recessed place, and a handle insert molding apparatus. SOLUTION: An opening part is provided to the side part of a blow mold so as to set a mold closing surface to a central part and the recessed place, of which the vertical cross-sectional shape has the same shape as the side surface of the handle having a contact plate on the lateral side of its grip part and the molding surfaces is a protruded curved surface, is attached to a freely advancing and retreating mold stand, which is fitted in the opening part and compensates the side part of the mold, and provided in the opening part so as to be freely taken in and out of the cavity. The handle is fitted in and held to the housing groove vertically provided to the central part of the molding surface of the recessed place forming mold so that the contact plate is turned outward. The contact plate is used as a part of the molding surface to protrude the recessed place forming mold in the cavity along with the handle at the time of bottle stretch blow molding. The contact plate is closely brought into contact with and lock with the wall surface of the recessed place simultaneously with molding the handle attaching recessed place on the bottle side surface to insert the handle in the recessed place.
