Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user's operability by an automatic video recording in a DVD recorder system. SOLUTION: A key controller 18 changes over a power supply circuit 16 by a non-operative state in a fixed period and interrupts voltage to shift the system to the sleep state. When a signal is inputted from a video input terminal, the key controller 18 operates an ON-control for the power supply circuit 16 to shift the system to the normal state. A DVD processor 12 instructs a DVD drive 10 in accordance with a video recording condition preliminarily stored in an EEPROM 28 after recovered to the normal state, so that an input video signal is supplied to the DVD drive 10 to start the video recording operation.
