Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a physical quantity sensor which especially requires correction of sensor sensitivity has conventionally required a highly precise circuit for correction of sensor sensitivity and drift compensation of output zero point in a wide range. SOLUTION: The physical quantity sensor is provided with: both a variable gain amplification means 60 for correcting the sensitivity of the physical quantity sensor by adjusting an amplification factor to output signals of a detection means 20; and a correction signal adjusting means 40 for adjusting the level of output of a correction signal generating means 30 according to an amplification factor of the variable gain amplification means 60, and constituted in such a way that the variable gain amplification means 60 amplifies signals acquired by adding output signals of the correction signal adjusting means 40 to output signals of the detection means 20. By this constitution, the resolution of drift compensation of output zero point is made constant regardless of an amplification factor of the variable gain amplification means 60, and wide-range sensitivity correction and drift compensation are made even through the use of a relatively low-precision circuit in the correction signal generating means 30.
