Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent exfoliation and a crack generated by the difference of thermal expansion coefficients of respective members in the sealing structure of an optical element. SOLUTION: An optical device includes the optical element 10, an inorganic material substrate 21, and an inorganic sealing member 39 covering the optical element 10 and transparent to the receiving light emitting wavelength of the optical element 10. A first metal pattern 25n which transmits and receives power, and a second metal pattern 26 for substantially adhering the substrate to the sealing member are formed in the inorganic material substrate 21. The material of the second metal pattern 26 becomes an adhesion layer and rigidly bonds the inorganic sealing member 39 to the inorganic material substrate 21. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
