Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which can be smoothly replenished with a toner-replenishing device using a powder pump, even if the toner contains a release agent, and to provide an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The toner is replenished by a toner-replenishing device 120 including a powder pump 140 which automatically supplies the toner so as to develop electrostatic latent images on a photoreceptor; a toner-housing vessel, disposed linked with the pumping means; and an air pump for fluidizing the toner housed in the toner-housing vessel, and the toner comprises at least a binder resin, a chromatic colorant and a release agent and has a coefficient of kinetic friction of a toner surface within a range of 0.15-0.35.
