Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cord connection device capable of surely sensing normal connecting conditions of the gas cord to a plug of gas appliances and abnormal connection conditions of gas hoses. SOLUTION: The gas cord connection device is characterized in that a joint member 54 of the gas cord 50 is freely detachably mounted on the plug 20 provided in the main body of the gas appliance main body( gas rice cooker main body 4). A connection sensing means 38 is provided in conjunction with the plug 20, and the connection sensing means 38 senses the normal connection conditions when the joint member 54 is connected to the plug 20, while the connection sensing means 38 detects the abnormal connection conditions when the gas hose is connected to the plug 20. This kind of connection sensing means 38 is composed of a mechanical switch 40 pressed by the joint member 54, a pair of terminals which maintain the electrical continuity via the joint member 54 and the like.
