Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable weight reduction of a storage chamber and a drive device by forming a groove formed on an inner circumference surface of the storage chamber on the inner circumference surface of the storage chamber which stores a piston member. SOLUTION: In a drive device 10 for a vehicle provided with a drive device output shaft 22 and a bearing 94 rotatably supporting the drive device output shaft 22, providing a brake B3 changing over a power transmission condition of the drive device 10 by connecting a ring gear R4 to a case 12 and selectively stopping rotation, and storing a brake piston 82 of the brake B3 in the storage chamber 80 formed by a case 12 and a sliding wall 78 projecting out of the case 12 in an axial direction, an axial direction groove 102 of which one end is positioned at a position facing the bearing 94 is formed on an inner circumference surface of the sliding wall 78. Consequently, lubricating oil lubricating the bearing 94 is discharged with guided by the groove 102. Since the groove 102 is formed on the slicing wall 78 forming the storage chamber 80 storing the brake piston 82, weight of the storage chamber 80 and the drive device 10 can be reduced.
