Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sink which does not cause any hindrance to drainage even if cookware such as a pan is placed on the bottom surface of the sink, which is excellent in beauty, which facilitates maintenance such as cleaning in the vicinity of a drain inlet, and which is also excellent in operability. SOLUTION: In this sink A, the bottom surface 2 of the sink, the periphery of which is enclosed with an inner wall surface 1, is equipped with a drain gutter part 3 along the inner wall surface 1, a planar part 5, the backside of which is provided with a drainage trap 4, and an inclined bottom surface part 7 which is interposed between the drain gutter part 3 and the planar part 5. The bottom surface part 7 is provided with the drain inlet 8 for guiding waste water to the drainage trap 4, and a bottom surface cover part 9 capable of closing the drain inlet 8 is provided on the bottom surface part 7. Thus, even if the cookware 6 such as the pan 6a is placed on the bottom surface 2, the sink does not cause any hindrance to the drainage, and the excellent beauty can also be secured. Additionally, since the cover part 9 has a sliding type opening/closing door 10 capable of opening/closing the drain inlet 8, the maintenance such as the cleaning in the vicinity of the drain inlet 8 can be easily performed, and the excellent operability can be secured.
