Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pH-responsive amphoteric particulate polymer capable of having a positive charge on an acidic side and having a negative charge on an alkali side by using the vicinity of weak alkaline as an isoelectric point as a result in which a polymer containing two amino groups and one carboxy group in the recurring unit of the polymer was developed and to provide a material for catching or releasing DNA or the like by using the polymer. SOLUTION: The pH-responsive amphoteric particulate polymer has two amino groups, one carboxy group and two hydroxy groups in the recurring unit obtained by reacting a monomer having two amino groups and one carboxy group with a diglycidyl ether. The material for catching or releasing DNA or the like is obtained by using the polymer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
