Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a charging schedule flexibly with high degree of freedom depending on the battery state or the convenience of a user. SOLUTION: When a charging system is actuated by detecting connection with a charging facility, communication with a service system server is started (S1-S3), and if connection is OK, vehicle information about the battery voltage, residual capacity of battery and failure of its own vehicle is transmitted, and an optimal charging schedule set automatically by the service system server is received (S6, S7). Battery charging is started upon receiving a charging start signal from the service system server, and a charging end signal is transmitted to the service system server (S8-S11) upon ending battery charging. Consequently, the battery is charged in the optimal charging schedule and troublesomeness in battery management by the user is mitigated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
