Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound useful as an optically functional material making the best use of porphyrin characteristics. SOLUTION: The compound is composed of a dendrimer structure with porphyrins expanded in a three-dimensional manner, for example, being a wheel-shaped multiporphyrin dendrimer compound of the formula[wherein, n is an integer of 1-10(preferably 1-3); X is e.g. an ester linkage; Z is e.g. a benzyl ether linkage; Y is e.g. H; and M is e.g. a zinc atom].
