Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the number of pins which a user can use effectively. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 1 is controlled to return to a normal operation mode from a low power consumption mode when a return instruction signal is given to an input/output terminal 1a in the low power consumption mode. In the normal operation mode, the input/output terminal 1a can be shared to be used in a forced return use and a user data input/output use, since the input/output control of user data is carried out through the input/output terminal 1a.
