Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obstacle detector of an automated guided vehicle, which ensures stable water-proof measures for a long period and is used outdoors mainly. SOLUTION: A bumper 5 movably supported by a bumper support mechanism 10 is attached and supported on the outside of a front surface of an automated guided vehicle main body 2 having an outer shell 2a, and an electric system portion having sensors such as limit switches 88 and 98 for detecting the movement of the bumper 5 is stored in the outer shell 2a of the automated guided vehicle main body 2. The electric system portion requiring water-proof measures is covered with the outer shell 2a of the automated guided vehicle main body 2 and is not exposed to rainwater or the like. Therefore, stable water-proof measures of an automated guided vehicle 1 used outdoors can be ensured for a long period, and water-proof measures only for the electric system portion are unnecessary, and a manufacturing cost is reduced and maintenance is simplified to reduce a maintenance cost.
