Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus which is equipped with a photoreceptor on which a toner image is formed, a transfer belt wound round a plurality of rollers including a driving roller, a photoreceptor driving motor for rotationally driving the photoreceptor, and a belt driving motor for rotationally driving the driving roller so as to rotate the transfer belt, and which prevents the quality of an obtained image from being deteriorated even when the surface linear velocity of a transfer belt is changed because temperature in an image forming apparatus main body rises, and a driving roller is expanded and then the diameter of the driving roller gets larger. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with a temperature sensor 67 detecting the temperature in the image forming apparatus main body, and a controller for controlling the revolving speed of at least either the photoreceptor driving motor 35 or the belt driving motor based on the result of detection by the temperature sensor 67.
