Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture a metallic container having an inclined side wall part which is free from wrinkles and excellent in appearance even when using a metal sheet as thin as ≤ 0.2 mm. SOLUTION: When a truncated conical metallic container having an inclined side wall part with the angle of inclination of ≤10° and the forming height of ≥ 30 mm is press molded by using a metal sheet with thickness of ≤0.2 mm, after the primary forming in which a flat-bottomed cylindrical body is formed by pressing the disk-shaped metal sheet by using a punch having a truncated conical portion on a tip thereof, the secondary forming is performed, in which the flat bottomed cylindrical body obtained in the primary forming is pressed in the direction opposite to the direction in the primary forming by 180° by using a punch having a truncated conical portion on a tip thereof and a metal container having an inclined side wall part is finally obtained, wherein pressing is performed several times according to the final height of the metallic container having the inclined side wall part so that the inside diameter of the die is increased stepwise every time.
