Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus capable of coping with an operator's misoperation, or the like, by controlling not to perform an operation other than requested operations when the operation which is not the requested operation is performed. SOLUTION: This endoscope apparatus 1 has an endoscope 2 and a processor 3. The endoscope 2 has a switch part 2A, and the processor 3 has a CPU (central processing unit) 3E and an operation panel 3F. In the processor 3, in the case of detecting that one instruction signal out of a first instruction signal transmitted from the switch part 2A and a second instruction signal transmitted from the operation panel 3F has an abnormal instruction signal not instructing to normally perform the predetermined operation and that the other instruction signal has another instruction signal for performing an operation other than the predetermined operation, the CPU 3E stops the transmission of the one instruction signal and validates the operation contents instructed by the other instruction signal.
