Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a pressure-proof structure of a bottom surface part of an intermediate casing, capable of reducing material cost of a member, easy in replacing a mechanical seal, and capable of improving maintainability, by enhancing rigidity of the member for performing the function of a casing cover for sealing the upper opening end of an upper casing and an outer casing. SOLUTION: This centrifugal pump has at least one impeller 11 installed on a main shaft 10 connected to a prime mover, at least one casing 1 arranged in response to the impeller 11, the casing cover for sealing the opening end of the casing 1, and a shaft seal device arranged in a part for penetrating the main shaft 10 through the casing cover. The casing cover is composed of a thick member 6 composed of a casting product and a thin anticorrosive lining member 40 composed of a press mold and fixed in close contact to an outside surface of the thick member 6.
