PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition having easily controllable viscosity, a prepreg having excellent handleability, a molded article molded by the thermal curing of the prepreg and a method for producing the epoxy resin composition. SOLUTION: The epoxy resin composition is produced by reacting an epoxy resin with the 1st curing agent for curing the epoxy resin. The epoxy resin has an epoxy equivalent of ≤250 g/eq and viscosity of ≤300 poise at 25°C in uncured state, and the 1st curing agent is an aromatic amine.
