Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ceramic composition having improved electromechanical coupling coefficient and smaller variation rate due to temperature change of mechanical quality factor and resonance frequency while high mechanical quality factor is maintained. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric ceramic composition in which a part of Pb site of a perovskite compound consisting essentially of Pb(Mn1/3Sb2/3)O3-PbZrO3-PbTiO3is replaced by a rare earth element selected from La, Nd and Sm has a composition formula of Pb1-3x/2Mx[(Mn1/3Sb2/3)aZrbTic]O3(where 0<x<0.04, 0.02≤a≤0.10, 0.40≤b≤0.50, a+b+c=1 and M=La, Nd or Sm).
