Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article protecting/shock-absorbing apparatus and a packing apparatus which relax an impact that an article may receive during its transportation, enable to reduce investment in equipment, cost, and time for packing/packaging, and to facilitate parts management. SOLUTION: The article protecting/shock-absorbing apparatus comprises an encircling body 4 which encircles the article 1 across a gap formed between the encircling body 4 and the outer peripheral surface of the article 1, and a shock-absorbing body 10 consisting of a plurality of shock-absorbing members 11 which are disposed between the gap between the encircling body 4 and the outer peripheral surface of the article 1 and are placed in a more curved state than its ordinary state or primarily formed into a curved shape. An article fixing apparatus is also provided, which is used to wind a belt gear around the article 1 on a base 202 to fix the article 1. The article fixing apparatus comprises corded members 231, 232, 233 and 234 which are attached to respective belt ends 211, and a guide member 204 which so guides the belt ends 211 as to be pulled down to the lower part of the article 1 on the base 202 as the corded members 231, 232, 233 and 234 are pulled.
