Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component in which a metal terminal can be easily and externally fitted to a core and position deviation after the fitting occurs hardly. SOLUTION: A recess 11a having a truncated pyramid shape and a groove section 11b that is open to the side in the recess 11a and a first inclined surface 7G are formed on a top surface 7A of a sub barrel section 7 for composing the collar section of a magnetic core. The groove section 11b is formed so that its width spreads from the recess 11a toward the first inclined surface 7G. A projection 15A having a truncated pyramid shape is provided at the first pinching section of the metal terminal 9. A recess 12a and a groove 12b are formed also on a lower surface 7F, and a projection 16 is provided also at the second pinching section of the metal terminal 9. When externally fitting the metal terminal 9 to the sub barrel section 7, a projection 15 slides in the groove section 11b and is guided into the recess 11a, and the projection 15 is engaged to the recess 11a.
