Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of effectively and easily recovering water from the fuel cell without using a large apparatus and deteriorating power generation efficiency. SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell for generating electric energy by electrochemical reaction, a water tank 44 for storing water from the fuel cell, an introduction pipe 106 having an inlet 114b for introducing gas to be discharged containing moisture from the fuel cell into the water tank 44 and connected to the water tank 44, a discharge pipe 110 having an outlet 115 for discharging gas from the water tank 44 and connected to the water tank 44, and a partitioning member 116 provided in the water tank 44 to be positioned under the inlet 114b and partition the inside of the water tank 44 into an upper space 118a and a lower space 118b.
