Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic volume control system capable of measuring traffic volume inside a traffic volume control area and alleviating traffic congestion. SOLUTION: Vehicle passage information, probe car information and the like are collected from a probe car 7 traveling inside the traffic volume control area by means of a probe car information collection distribution device 5. From the collected vehicle passage information, positional information, a passage time, a vehicle passage route calculated according to a vehicle ID, and a travel time for a section, a congestion condition of each route inside the traffic volume control area 1 is determined. Toll data are calculated according to the determined congestion condition and transmitted to a roadside processing device 2. A toll is charged by radio communication with an on-vehicle equipment mounting vehicle 4 entering the traffic volume control area 1. A traffic light control parameter and road traffic information are generated for controlling a traffic light by the traffic light control parameter, and the road traffic information and the like is distributed to the traveling on-vehicle equipment mounting vehicle 4 and the probe car 7 by the probe car information collection distribution device 5.
