Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which print processing cost can be reduced by setting a limitation of print processing (print limitation), and setting of print limitation can be altered as required. SOLUTION: A multifunction printer 4 comprises a setting alteration indicating section 25 set with the upper limit value of the number of printable sheets for each user requesting print processing and inquiring of a manager terminal 3 whether alteration is granted or not in response to an upper limit value alteration request from the user, and an approval confirmation section 23 for confirming a response to the inquiry and altering the upper limit value when the manager terminal 3 grants the alteration request. Consequently, print processing cost can be reduced and print processing can be carried out efficiently by altering the print limitation depending on the necessity of print processing.
