Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tissue paper for thermal stencil paper, which reduces adhesion to a dryer in paper making, which exerts sufficient strength when laminated on a thermoplastic resin film, which hardly causes a void, and which consists of 100% polyester fibers. SOLUTION: This polyester fiber tissue paper for the thermal stencil paper comprises: 30-60 wt% polyester staple fibers with a single-fiber fineness of 0.01-0.6 decitexes, a birefringence index of 0.10-0.20 and a specific gravity of 1.37-1.40; 30-60 wt% unoriented polyester staple fibers with a single-fiber fineness of 0.5-1.5 decitexes; and 5-30 wt% polyester-based binder staple fibers with a single-fiber fineness of 0.2-2 decitexes.
