Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly maintain a torque margin of a motor driving a photoreceptor when mounting a photoreceptor unit including the photoreceptor and a process cartridge to rotate the photoreceptor inside an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The photoreceptor unit 3 comprises the photoreceptor 12 rotated in a sub-scanning direction; a holding case 13 rotatably holding the photoreceptor 12; and a storing part 17 mounted on the holding case 13 and readably storing load torque necessary for rotating the photoreceptor 12 by a reading part. Even when the load torque necessary for rotating the photoreceptor 12 of each photoreceptor unit 3 has irregularity for each photoreceptor unit 3, the motor 22 rotating the photoreceptor 12 can be driven so as to maintain the optimum torque margin in response to the load torque for each photoreceptor unit 3 since the load torque for each photoreceptor 3 can be sensed.
