Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cloth dryer which stabilizes a heat pump unit into a stable condition and attains shortening of the drying time and energy saving without releasing the thermal energy required for drying clothes in vain. SOLUTION: An exhaust port 26 is provided between an outer tank 3 and a heat absorber 30 in an air circulating path for circulating drying air so as to guide the air from the outer tank 3 (a drying chamber) to the outer tank 3 through the heat absorber 30 and a radiator 32, and a part of the drying air flowing through the air circulating path from the drying chamber to the heat absorber is discharged outside the air circulating path.
