Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable synthetic paper which, while making a polylactic acid a constituent, has flexibility required as paper and can easily be drawn. SOLUTION: The biodegradable synthetic paper 1 comprises a polylactic acid and a biodegradable resin and contains a modifier having elasticity higher than that of the polylactic acid in an amount of <50 wt% (excluding 0 wt%). It preferably has the form equipped with a base layer 2, which has calcium carbonate particles as a particulate filler dispersed therein, and surface layers 3, which have titanium oxide particles as a particulate filler dispersed therein and are arranged on both the sides of rear and front of the base layer 2.
