Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design a semiconductor chip capable of supplying a sufficient power supply to a circuit part without wastefully consuming power supply resources in a method for designing the layout of a power supply wiring for the semiconductor chip having a plurality of functional blocks by using an automatic layout tool. SOLUTION: When chip side power supply wirings 111-114 positioned to the semiconductor chip and a mesh type power supply wiring positioned to the functional block 10a are connected on the automatic layout tool, linear parts 5a, 5b extended along the outermost periphery of the functional block are extracted as a VSS pin and a VDD pin from the mesh type power supply wiring in the functional block. The chip side power supply wirings 111-114 are connected to the extracted VSS pin 5a and VDD pin 6a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
