Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion method and combustion equipment for efficiently supplying and burning woody biomass fuel to and in a combustion system by restraining crushing motive power. SOLUTION: A coal burning boiler system is provided so that the whole quantity of the biomass fuel is not crushed up to becoming suspension firing possible particulates in a crushing process of one cycle to the biomass fuel newly received from an external part, and is formed as the suspension firing possible particulates after inputting a part, and the residue is dropped in a boiler lower part as a coarse grain without performing suspension firing, and the dropped fuel is recovered and crushed again. Since the recovered coarse grain biomass fuel is carbonized to a certain degree and can be crushed by the crushing motive power lower than newly received biomass fuel, the crushing motive power can be restrained as a whole.
