Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal supporting structure for vehicle which can surely and forcible displace a pedal to the vehicle front side in either case of when the brake is not operated, or when the brake is operated. SOLUTION: This pedal supporting structure 30 for vehicle swingably supports a pedal device 34 to a pedal bracket 38. The pedal supporting structure 30 for vehicle has a car body side reinforcing member 14, upper pedal members 44 and 46, a lower pedal member 48 equipped with a pedal 48c, a contact member 50 equipped with a contact section 50g, a connecting mechanism 60, and a stopper means 42. In this case, by the connecting mechanism 60, the contact member and the lower pedal member are connected at the normal time in such a manner that they may not relatively be displaced, the contact section comes into contact with the car body side reinforcing member, and a section 48b being lower than the swinging shaft of the lower pedal member is forcibly displaced to the upper pedal member to the car body front side at the time of collision. Also, the stopper means 42 suppresses the displacement of the lower pedal to the car body rear side by coming into contact with the lower section of the lower pedal member when the lower section of the lower pedal member is displaced to the car body rear side at the time of collision.
