Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the kinds of sub harnesses by enabling the use of the sub harness of a certain length for a plurality of kinds of wire harnesses. SOLUTION: Ribs 14A, 14B are formed on both side edges of a belt shape body 12 and for these ribs, a slack absorption tool 10 which is formed alternately with a spacing in longitudinal direction of the belt shape body is used for a first elastic arc member 16A and a second elastic arc member 16B. A part of a first set of sub harness 20 is assembled on one side of the slack absorption tool 10, and a part of a second set of sub harness 22 is assembled on the other end side, and branch parts W2, W3of the wire harness are formed, and by drawing sub harnesses 20, 22 of the first set and the second set from the middle of the slack absorption tool 10, the trunk line part W1of the wire harness is formed. As for the sub harness 20 which is longer than the length of the trunk line part+branch line part, the sub harness is assembled from one end of the slack absorption tool up to the position passing the branch point P of the wire harness, and then it is folded back at the tip of the branch point, and returned to the branch point, thus the slack portion of the sub harness 20 is absorbed.
