Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate calculation of a coordinate conversion factor from a work coordinate system to a mechanical coordinate system according to the attitude of a work placed on a measuring table, so that a measuring operation in a work coordinate system of an optional attitude can be safely performed by the coordinate conversion factor, and to regularly indicate the axial direction or sign direction of the work coordinate system so that a safe measurement can be performed while preventing an operation error by mistake. SOLUTION: This device comprises the coordinate information indicator indicating coordinate information including the axial direction or sign direction of the work coordinate system, and inclinable at an optional angle; an attitude detector detecting the attitude of the indicator; a coordinate conversion factor calculation circuit converting the work coordinate system to the mechanical coordinate system based on the output of the attitude detector; and a conversion circuit converting an axis movement instruction for the work coordinate system to an axis movement instruction for the mechanical coordinate system.
