PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die in which the pressure is increased corresponding to the entry position (stroke) with respect to a V-shaped groove. SOLUTION: In the die 1 to fold a plate work W in a V-shape, an inclined surface 5 to form a V-shaped groove 3 is formed in projecting curved surfaces 5U, 5L, the radius DR2 of curvature of a lower side is larger than the radius DR1 of curvature on an upper side of the curved surfaces, and the curved surfaces 5U, 5L form curved surfaces in which the contact relationship between the work W and the curved surface 5U is in a rolling contact when the work W is folded. Further, in the die 1 to fold the plate work W in a V-shape, the inclined surface 5 to form the V-shaped groove 3 forms a projecting curved surface, and the curved surface is in contact with an ellipse 9.
