Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further shorten the access time and read data without interruption. SOLUTION: BY use of a file system such as a FAT 32, a directory entry group 381-1 recording a directory entry for a file and an actual data group 391-1 recording actual data of the file are arranged in a hard disk 173 so as to be mutually adjacent. The directory entry and the actual data are recorded in the hard disk 173, whereby the number of clusters required for recording of actual data is calculated as the recording area of the actual data group 391-1 in case that the file is recorded. When the calculated number of clusters exceeds a predetermined threshold, the next directory entry group 381-2 to the directory entry group 381-1 adjacent to the actual data group 391-1 is arranged in the hard disk 173. This invention is applicable to a digital video camera. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
