Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal equipment which transmits and receives files of multimedia data according to the reproduction ability of communication destination terminal. SOLUTION: In this communication terminal, profiles which show reproduction ability of multimedia files at destination terminals are stored in a profile storing part 22 associating with the mail addresses of the destination terminals. Multimedia files are stored in a multimedia file storing part 24. The multimedia file transmitted to a mail address is taken out from the multimedia file storing part 24, and is compared with the profile associated with the mail address taken out from the profile storing part 22. When the multimedia file does not satisfy the profile, the multimedia file for transmitting is obtained by converting the multimedia file so as to satisfy the profile by a file conversion part 13, and a mail is prepared.
