Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece holder for holding multiple kinds of workpieces different in the size of held parts, while suppressing enlargement. SOLUTION: Two levers 406 are turnably mounted to a casing 400, and each of the free ends is provided with a holding member 404 provided with a support plate 490 and a projecting member 492. The rotation of a rotary shaft 412 is converted into the turning motion of the lever 406 by a motion converter 92 comprising an external screw member 180, an internal screw member 182, a projecting part 200 and a groove 202, and the holding member 404 is moved to hold the workpiece 10. When a distance between two engaged faces with which the holding member 404 of the workpiece 10 is engaged, is long, the holding member 404 is greatly spaced from the casing 400, but except when holding the workpiece 10, the lever 406 can be turned to the casing 400 side and closed. The multiple kinds of workpieces 10 different in size can thereby be held while avoiding the enlargement of the workpiece holder 300. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
