Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flue-gas desulfurization method that is capable of efficiently removing sulfur oxides and of efficiently manufacturing a high concentrated sulfuric acid. SOLUTION: This flue-gas desulfurization method is to recover the sulfur oxides in the exhaust gas as diluted sulfuric acid using a catalyst and to concentrate the diluted sulfuric acid with heat of the exhaust gas. The method comprises a cooling and concentrating step A to cool and/or humidify the exhaust gas, and to concentrate the diluted sulfuric acid by contacting the exhaust gas with the diluted sulfuric acid produced in the following desulfulization step C, a humidifying and cooling step B to humidify and/or cool the exhaust gas through the cooling and concentration step A and a desulfurization step C to remove the sulfur oxide while producing the diluted sulfuric acid.
