Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently realize prevention of clogging of solid-liquid separation membrane and cost reduction. SOLUTION: Particulate microorganism adhering substance 2 having a microorganism adhering function is mixed into a biological treatment tank 1, and microorganisms in the biological treatment tank 1 are stuck to the microorganism adhering substance 2 to form a large floc, thereby the floc is prevented from going into the pore of the separation membrane 3 immersed in the biological treatment tank 1, and at the same time the separation membrane 3 is effectively washed by the contact of the flocs with the separation membrane 3 without damage of the membrane 3. Surplus sludge containing the microorganism adhering substance 2 and the flocs is taken out from the biological treatment tank 1 to be solubilized by a sludge solubilizing device 8. By the solubilization treatment, the microorganism adhering substance 2 incorporated into the sludge is recovered. Treated water from which the microorganism adhering substance 2 has been recovered is returned to the biological treatment tank 1, which dispenses with the supply of the microorganism adhering substance 2 and disposal of the surplus sludge and the microorganism adhering substance 2.
