Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error correction device by which high error correction capability is obtained by correctly setting an erasure flag at a position where erroneous data is present in the array of a data packet, and also, which is suitable, especially, for a case where a plurality of signals are inputted. SOLUTION: A comparing means in the error correction device compares one of a plurality of the input signals to be inputted with another input signal and outputs the comparison result to an error correction means. The error correction means corrects an error for the one input signal or another input signal, on the basis of the comparison result which is inputted from the comparing means.
