Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of easily and inexpensively reducing banding without using a special mechanism nor requiring advanced control and high accuracy. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus having a rotating body related to image formation is provided with a plurality of driving input means arranged at nearly equal intervals on a circumference with center at the rotary shaft of the rotating body, and a control means for driving the rotating body by rotating a plurality of driving means in the same direction and also driving the plurality of driving means synchronously. The plurality of driving input means are the driving member for turning the rotating body, and are constituted of a motor or a driving transmitting member such as a gear and a roller or the like coupled with the motor, and are respectively independent units constituted of nearly the same parts, and are controlled by electrically synchronizing the rotation by the control means.
