Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an exterior member such as a side plate from flawing caused by a broken string of piano scatters when the string is broken, with simple configuration. SOLUTION: This piano is provided with a scatter preventing member which prevents the broken string from coming out of a pin 4 to scatter when the string is broken which is provided in a tensioned state in a frame 3 by fitting a lock ring 5a at a rear end of the string 5 onto the pin 4 mounted on the frame 3 constituting the whole assembly of a piano body and extending the string 5 on the frame 3. The scatter preventing member is, for example, a cord type member 6, a plurality of strings 5 are mutually connected by the cord type member 6 by passing the cord type member 6 through respective lock rings 5a, and the broken string 5 is connected to other strings by the cord type member 6 to stay there without scattering.
