Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery system and a recovery method of carbon dioxide in an exhaust gas by which carbon dioxide can be extracted out of an alkaline solution absorbing carbon dioxide and the carbon dioxide recovery ratio from the exhaust gas is heightened without using a large quantity of steam of a boiler for power generation. SOLUTION: An alkaline solution 116 jetted out of an alkaline solution jetting part 101 is brought into contact with an exhaust gas 114 flowing upward from the lower side in a packed material 102 to absorb carbon dioxide contained in the exhaust gas 114. The absorbed carbon dioxide is precipitated in form of an insoluble compound and the insoluble compound is recovered in a trap tank 11. The alkaline solution, which does not contribute to the production of the insoluble compound, particularly existing in the upper part, is returned to the alkaline solution jetting part 101 again through a circulation pipe 154b.
