Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored composition for a color filter having high lightness and excellent fluidity, and a color filter having excellent color properties, high lightness and a thinner film shape. SOLUTION: The red colored composition for a color filter contains a pigment carrier comprising a transparent resin, a precursor thereof or a mixture of those, an anthraquinone pigment such as C.I. Pigment Red 89 or 177, and a perylene pigment such as C.I. Pigment Red 123, 149, 178, 179 or 190. The color filter has a filter segment formed from the red colored composition.
