Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a radial needle bearing 1a used under a low-pressure or vacuum environment. SOLUTION: In the radial needle bearing, a retainer 3a is made by a material containing a self-lubricant. The inner peripheral surface 11 of this retainer 3a is disposed at the inner diameter side from a pitch circle α of needles 4, 4, and similarly the outer peripheral surface 8a is disposed at the outer diameter side. Moreover, chips 13, 13 made of a material containing the self-lubricant are respectively disposed in the spaces 12, 12 between the outer peripheral surface 8a and the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring 2. The retainer 3a itself is made by the material containing the self-lubricant, and thereby the absolute amount of the self-lubricant is assured by the respective chips 13, 13. Further, since the poles 10, 10 and the rolling surfaces of the needles 4, 4 do not strike on the edges, the poles 10, 10 can be prevented from being remarkably worn. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
