PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical computer with information providing functionality added that can efficiently communicate expiration information about an insurance card or medical care card, closure information about a medical institution or dispensing pharmacy, or the like to patients by printing it on receipts or prescriptions, and enables a low-cost provision of paper for the medical institution or dispensing pharmacy at an advertiser's expense by enabling target-limited advertising by advertising placement on the reverse surface of receipt paper or prescription paper. SOLUTION: A program can automatically select information to be communicated to each individual patient or all patients from patient information, medical institution registration information or dispensing pharmacy registration information all registered in the medical computer. The information is printed on issued receipts or prescriptions to draw the patients' attention and increase the efficiency of communication. Advertising can be preprinted on the reverse surface of receipt paper or prescription paper for a larger amount of information, and the receipt paper or prescription paper can be thereby supplied to the medical institution or dispensing pharmacy more inexpensively at the advertiser's expense.
