Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire strengthened by filament cords, having excellent heat stability in an ultimate vulcanization condition, thereby having durability. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire has at least one layer of reinforcing ply in a carcass area, a belt area, or a bead area. The reinforcing ply includes a blended multiple filament fiber cord having a main material arranged mainly in an inside cross sectional area, and a submaterial arranged mainly in an outside cross sectional area. The cord is treated with an adhesive having a curing set temperature higher than 470°F (243°C). The combination of the cord and the adhesive enables to attain high heat stability enabling the use of such a cord in various reinforcing plies, or in various areas of a tire which is put in high temperatures in curing or operations.
