PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input device whose appearance can be improved, and in which coordinates can easily be inputted, by scanning an operation face by an indicator; and to provide an image display device having the coordinate input device, and to provide electronic equipment. SOLUTION: In the coordinate input device in an analog type resistance film type, a first translucent substrate 32 and a second translucent substrate 31 are arranged opposite via an insulating layer, transparent conductive films are formed on inner sides of the respective translucent substrates and printing circuits 38 and 37 connected to the transparent conductive films are formed in outer peripheral parts. A decoration printing layer 41 is formed between the transparent conductive film 34, formed on the inner side of the second translucent substrate 31 and the second translucent substrate 31. The printing circuits 38 and 37, formed at the outer peripheral parts of the first and second translucent substrates 31 and 32, are concealed by the decoration printing layer 41, and they cannot be confirmed visually from the operation face side of the second translucent substrate 31.
